GIRLS between the ages of 5 and 18 can now enter for the Miss Pizzazz Kretzmarine pageant organised by the Pizzazz Finishing School together with Kretzmarine Boating in aid of The Reach for a Dream Foundation.
This pageant is a community project and the previous pageants were extremely successful events as they collected funds of R445 000 in cash, gifts and vouchers during the past few years. These funds are used to fulfill dreams of children faced with life-threatening illnesses.
Miss Pizzazz Kretzmarine is an extremely fun-giving, entertaining and purposeful pageant and the organisers are inviting all girls from the Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, Despatch and surrounding areas to enter. The age groups are 5-8; 9-12 and 13-18.
According to organiser, Lisa Perino, judges will be looking for that “extra something” in girls with a natural and sparkling personality and who want to make dreams come true for children with life-threatening illnesses by doing fundraising for this organisation.
No modelling experience is needed to enter.
Some prizes up for grabs include water-ski courses offered by Kretzmarine Boating, a half-hour scenic flight over PE offered by Sheltam Aviation, vouchers from Mike’s Kitchen, Jenni Collections, Skin Perfection Beauty Salon and flowers from Flowers PE, to mention a few.
The closing date for entries is Monday, March 19 at 5pm.
All entrants will be interviewed by the judges to select the finalists for each age group that will take part in the gala event on Saturday, May 12, at the Boardwalk Vodacom Amphitheatre.
Interviews will take place in the afternoon and evening of Tuesday, March 20.

Completed entry forms must be hand delivered, with an entry fee of R60, a jumbo size clear head and shoulder photograph, accompanied by a stamped self-addressed envelope, in a sealed envelope to Kretzmarine Boating, 157 Heugh Road, Walmer, or to the PE Express offices at Die Burger off William Moffett Expressway or at Pro Design Photographers, 26 Joan’s Way, Westering or at the Bayfm 107.9 offices, 10 Salvia Crescent, Linton Grange.

To have professional photographs taken at a cost of R80 for 2 of R100 for 4, there will be open days (between 1pm and 6pm) at Pro Design Photographers every Wednesday and Thursday leading up to March 19. There will also be open days on Friday the 16th between 1pm and 6pm, Saturday the 17th between 9am and 2pm as well as Monday the 19th between 1pm and 6pm. Pro Design Photographers is situated at 26 Joan’s Way, Westering. No booking is needed on open days.
